January 31, 2009

Members of the Banksville Fire Department, the Armonk Fire Department and the North Castle Police Department teamed-up on Saturday for their annual ice rescue drill. The drill was conducted at the Windmill Club pond in Armonk. Three evolutions were conducted simultaneously allowing participants to practice various ice rescue techniques including use of the ice rescue sled, ice rescue sling, and throw bags. This hands-on training followed the annual classroom refresher conducted the previous Monday night at the Armonk Fire Department.

The three departments train and work together on a regular basis in order to provide quality emergency services to the people they serve.

Units: Mini-Attack 11, Cars 2581, 2582, 2583.

Mutual Aid: Armonk Fire Department, North Castle Police Department
