2009 Officers Take Office

2009 marks the 60th anniversary of the BIFD. While many things have changed over those 60 years, the dedication and committment of the members who serve our community has remained constant. The officers for 2009 thank all our past and present members for their hard work and extend a special thank you to the following members for their service as officers the past few years and their continuing dedication to the department and the community:

- Lee Gospodinoff - served as President for the past 3 years and will now serve on our Board of Directors.
- Bill Richardson, Jr - served as Assistant Chief for the past 2 years, and has previously served as Fire Chief 3 times totaling 9 years over his 40+ year career with BIFD.
- Robert (Herby) Farquhar - served on the Board of Directors for the past 5 years, and has previously served as Fire Chief 3 times totaling 9 years over his 35+ year career with BIFD.
