Just after 1pm on December 26th, Banksville Fire along with Greenwich Engine 8, where dispatched to the entrance of The Stanwich Country Club on North Street for a hazardous condition. Upon arrival, crews found a roll off dumpster truck full of logs had knocked the wooden archway off of its stone supports and it was resting on top of the loaded dumpster. Bills Service out of Stamford was called for their 60 Ton rotating wrecker to lift up the archway so the truck could be removed. Job well done by the tow truck operator by removing the archway safely and without causing any further damage to the local landmark.
