BIFD participated in a number of events during September:

On September 11th, BIFD joined with other emergency service members from the Town of North Castle during the Town's 9/11 Memorial ceremony. Click link below for story and photos.

On the 22nd, Tanker 7 traveled to Pound Ridge to participate in a rural water supply drill. Other departments participating included Pound Ridge, Vista, New Canaan and companies from Stamford.

On the 23rd, Engine 158 participated in a North Castle town-wide MCI drill simulating a large carbon monoxide leak. The drill was hosted by the North White Plains FD. Other agencies participating included the Armonk FD, North Castle PD, Valhalla VAC, Transcare, Westchester County DES and Con Edison. Click the link below for story and photos.

On Saturday September 27th, Engine 159 and MA 11 assisted at the Banksville Community House's annual Harvestfest. Cos Cob Patrol 2 and the Greenwich Fire Department's car seat safety trailer also were present at the event. That evening, Engine 158 relocated to the Armonk fire house to cover during their annual inspection dinner.
