BIFD recieved official notification today that our 2009 Assistance to Firefighters Grant application has been approved. The $21,451 grant will enable BIFD to purchase 4 new portable radios for use with the Westchester County trunked radio system, and will allow us to replace 12 SCBA cylinders whose service life is expiring.
