In the late afternoon on Sunday, January 31st, Banksville's tones were transmitted for a possible structure on Mianus River Road. Upon signing on the air, Banksville Car 2582 (Incident Commander) immediately requested an additional tanker from Pound Ridge to begin response to the scene. With smoke showing upon arrival, 2582 requested the remainder of Banksville's working fire response to be dispatched, including Armonk's tanker and ambulance, a Bedford Engine, the Mount Kisco FAST unit, and a Mount Kisco engine to cover the Banksville station.
The fire was quickly knocked down by the crew of Engine 158, and mutual aid units were placed back in service a short time later. Banksville units remained on the scene to peform salvage and overhaul.
This ended a busy week, that included responses to two other working structure fires.
