| Members of the Banksville Fire Department participated in several events during the month of March.
On March 14th, Jim Cuffe, Sgt. of the North Castle Police Department and Deputy Coordinator of the Westchester County Cause and Origin Team, visited the fire station and presented a seminar on cause and origin awareness and scene preservation. The seminar was attended by firefighters from several other departments from Battalion 16.
On March 20th, BIFD members teamed up with members from the Armonk Fire Department and traveled to the Westchester County Training Center to drill on ventilation techniques.
BIFD participated in the Greenwich St. Patrick's Day parade on March 25th.
The Easter Bunny arrived at the Banksville Community House's annual Egg Hunt on Engine 158 on March 31st.
Also on March 31st, 2582 participated along with over 200 other firefighters from CT and MA in climbing the stairs of a 36 story building in Hartford, CT, as part of the American Lung Association's Tackle the Tower fund raising stair climb event. |
