Mini-Attack 11 and Car 2581 responded on an automatic aid assignment with Long Ridge FD to a brush fire in a remote area off East Middle Patent Road in Stamford. ATV units from Pound Ridge and Stamford FD also responded. Crews travelled as far as they could on the ATVs and then needed to hike in the rest of the way. ATV units from Armonk and Croton Falls were also put on standby for the incident. The MA 11 crew utilized a floating pump to supply water from the nearby reservoir. Crews worked for about 3 hours and cleared the scene just after midnight. See News 12 CT videos below.
